Romans 3:21-31
Something Divine
But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it - (verse 21)
whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. (verse 25)
“Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson (Isaiah 1:18)
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. (Phil 1:6)
Something Promised
the gospel of God, which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy Scriptures (Rom 1:1-2)
But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— (verse 21)
And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself. (Lk 24)
Something Simple
the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: (verse 22)
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8)
Something for all
For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus (vs. 22-24)
Something Costly
