02) “But they soon forgot”
Psalm 106:13-48
Praise the LORD! Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good Psalm 106:1
1. They forgot to consider
Both we and our fathers have sinned; we have committed iniquity; we have done wickedness. Our fathers, when they were in Egypt, did not consider your wondrous works; they did not remember the abundance of your steadfast love, but rebelled by the sea, at the Red Sea. Psalm 106:6-7
Then they believed his words; they sang his praise. Psalm 106:12
2. They forgot His works
But they soon forgot his works; they did not wait for his counsel. Psalm 106:13
But they had a wanton craving in the wilderness, and put God to the test in the desert; Psalm 106:14
When men in the camp were jealous of Moses and Aaron, the holy one of the LORD, the earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram. Psalm 106:16-17
3. They forgot God
They forgot God, their Saviour, who had done great things in Egypt, wondrous works in the land of Ham, and awesome deeds by the Red Sea. Psalm 106:21-22
When the people saw that Moses delayed to come down from the mountain, the people gathered themselves together to Aaron and said to him, “Up, make us gods who shall go before us. Exodus 32:1
Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! And let all the people say, “Amen!” Praise the LORD! Psalm 106:48
