6) We will walk … Obedience     2 John 1-13

You shall walk in all the way that the LORD your God has commanded you, that you may live, and that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land that you shall possess. (Deuteronomy 5:33)

1. Some Examples

And they were both righteous before God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and statutes of the Lord.

And they were both righteous before God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and statutes of the Lord. (Luke 1:6)

But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and both were advanced in years. (Luke 1:7)

The elder to the elect lady and her children, whom I love in truth, and not only I, but also all who know the truth   (2 Jn 1:1)

I rejoiced greatly to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as we were commanded by the Father.  (2 Jn 1:4)

And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you believers. For you, brothers, became imitators of the churches of God in Christ Jesus that are in Judea. (1 Thess 2:13-14)

2. Some Teaching

For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing.  (Romans 7:18-19)

Remember who God is

So you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God by walking in his ways and by fearing him. (Deut 8:6)

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. (Prov 9:10)

For if you will be careful to do all this commandment that I command you to do, loving the LORD your God, walking in all his ways, and holding fast to him,  (Deut 11:22)

“If you love me, you will keep my commandments. (John 14:15)

You shall walk after the LORD your God and fear him and keep his commandments and obey his voice, and you shall serve him and hold fast to him.  (Deut 13:4)

Remember what God said

walking blamelessly in all the commandments and statutes of the Lord.   (Luke 1:6)

Only be very careful to observe the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways and to keep his commandments and to cling to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.” Josh 22:5)
